Lactation Consultations
90 Minute Initial Consult
60 Minutes Follow Up
Breastfeeding/bodyfeeding may be natural, but it doesn't mean that it is always easy. If you or your baby experiencing feeding difficulty at the breast/chest or with a bottle, consider a consultation visit in the comfort of your home. Reasons to call for consultation include low milk supply, oversupply, lip and tongue tie, breast/chest and/or nipple pain, engorgement, inducing lactation, mastitis, the introduction of solid foods, and weaning.
Visits include intake of medical history for client and their infant, weight check, evaluation of latch and feeding, and more. Some lactation/feeding supplies are available.

Home Birth Midwifery
Prenatal, Labor/Birth, Postpartum & Well Newborn Care
Please note: Tiffany is taking a sabbatical from home birth midwifery beginning September 2024. I will continue to be available for Well Body Care, IUI services, Lactation services, and Prenatal and/or Postnatal Care Packages.
Midwives provide care for people experiencing healthy, low-risk pregnancies and planning to birth in community settings, such as the home. Education regarding all of the standard of care options for lab testing, ultrasound, and additional care measures is provided so that you can actively participate in the management of your care. Care typically begins in the 1st trimester and continues until 6 weeks postpartum.
Prenatal visits range from 60-90 minutes in length and include a review of your physical and emotional wellness, evidence-based prenatal education, and a review of your screening options. At each prenatal visit, we will work together to screen your blood pressure, evaluate your urine to screen for protein and glucose, track the growth of your uterus and baby, and listen to your baby’s heartbeat.
Because you are planning a home birth, when your labor begins, you get to settle in the safe, intimate space of your home where you have the freedom to move your body intuitively, eat and drink with minimal interruptions and intervention. You continue to make informed decisions about your care during the labor process. I would come to your home to provide care and support and we continue to monitor your labor, your vital signs, and your baby’s heartbeat to be sure that the home continues to be the safest setting for the birth. You would be fully supported in natural birth in your home with two midwives present and have the option to labor and birth in water, as well. After the baby is born, we continue monitoring to ensure that you and your baby are healthy. We typically stay in the home for 4 to 6 hours after the baby is born.
Care continues for both the birthing parent and baby for the first 6 weeks following the birth. Each postpartum visit is typically 90 minutes in length and includes checking in on your recovery, your mental health, attachment & bonding, providing breastfeeding support, and family planning/contraceptive counseling. Both you and your baby are provided a physical exam at each visit to ensure optimal wellness. There are two postpartum-newborn home visits that are planned for the first week. Typically, there are two postpartum-newborn office visits between weeks 1-3 and finally, the last postpartum-newborn visit is at 6 -8 weeks following the birth to complete your care package. This final visit is always bittersweet, but it is such a joy to watch clients grow as individuals and grow as parents alongside their babies! Thankfully, this visit does not have to mean goodbye forever as you can choose to work with me for lactation visits, annual wellness visits, and more after the last postpartum visit!

Wellness care
Annual wellness visits include a review of your physical and emotional well-being, sexual health, fertility, family planning, and contraception counseling. Preventative health screenings such as pap smears, breast/chest exams, STI screenings, and routine bloodwork. Specialist referrals are available, as needed. Holistic treatment options at Two Rivers include herbal medicine, therapeutic nutrition, homeopathy, and flower essences.
preconception planning & Fertilty support
If you are planning to conceive, consider working with a midwife to ensure optimal wellness at the start of pregnancy. Fertility awareness counseling is available to help you best understand your body’s natural rhythm, fertile signs, and the best time to conceive in your cycle. Additionally, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is available in the office for clients as well. IUI works best for clients with mild fertility challenges or no fertility problems but do not have access to sperm as can be the case with single parents or same-sex couples.
